Newborn Nursery

 

Thomas Hospital is quickly outgrowing its nursery. The new birth center will include a nursery that can accommodate 16 babies.

 

This will eliminate any challenges previously caused by space or capacity.

 

 

Special Care

 

While Thomas Hospital doesn't at this time provide a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), the new birth center will include two beds dedicated to infants needing special care.

 

Special care infant beds allows specialized staff to care for newborns with conditions such as mild feeding and respiratory problems, jaundice, infection and blood sugar abnormalities.
